Education
I am a graduate of Cranbrook Schools, Northwestern University, Rackham Graduate School at the University of Michigan and the University of Michigan--Flint. My degrees are: a B.A. in History (Slavic/European), Master of Liberal Studies in American Culture, Master of Arts in Composition and Rhetoric. Also, I earned a certificate of Organization Management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at Notre Dame University.
Experience
I currently teach writing at Oakland University and have previous teaching experience at Mott Community College, Oakland Community College, Baker College. I primarily teach freshman composition and junior level business writing, which includes web writing. I can teach American history, literature, folklore and poetry. My extensive Writing Center experience at multiple college writing centers means I can work with anyone composing almost anything in every subject. As a successful homeschooling mother, I love to work with any age group of students--from elementary to graduate students. I discount my hourly rate for youngsters. I also have experience both writing for and consulting with law firms, businesses, and other professionals.
